The Story of BlueChip
Since 2007 we have built our reputation and focused our efforts on becoming one of the premier, ‘blue chip’ wealth advisory firms in the southeast.
Chosen not only because it embraces the competencies of all of our professionals but as a tribute to family and clients who have served our country. Michael Ashworth, USMC, Lt. Col. Retired, served in the Vietnam War, flying over 300 missions in a single man, A4 Skyhawk. While in Vietnam he earned the Navy’s Distinguished Flying Cross and was given the call sign ‘Blue Chip’. He was a later an instructor at the famous Top Gun school for Navy Fighter pilots in California. BlueChip represents professionalism, competency, trustworthiness, a calm demeanor in stressful times, precise decision making, and a willingness to fly into the face of conventional wisdom. Michael Ashworth passed away July 2020 at the age of 76.
Committed to Providing Excellent Service and Investment Advice In Your Best Interest
Casey Dominic Sullivan left this world June 17, 2021 quickly and unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife, Angel and their two sons, Christian and Liam, his brother Chuck, sister Nancy and his goddaughter Caitlin, his mother Kay, his beloved German Shepards, Porsche and Gunner - and a host of extended family members who will miss him deeply. Casey died a loved and important man. He was known as a man of service for his family and fellow man. He was a man of unshakable conviction and of integrity and honor - which is becoming increasingly rare, but not before passing down these qualities to his sons.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 21, 1962 and raised a Texan in Houston, he grew up wearing jeans and boots and embracing his life in Texas. He went on to graduate from his beloved Texas AandM with a business degree. Later Casey met his wife Angel in Texas where they married and had their sons. Convincing him to move to Georgia was a tough sell because it meant leaving Texas - but a lot of good things came next. The move sparked a new career in financial planning. He and his family moved to East Cobb and were embraced in the community where his sons made lifelong beautiful friends and went on to graduate from Walton High School. He met and partnered with Marcus Ashworth, starting their own successful wealth management firm. Casey did what he always did in life - became the best. He was highlighted throughout his career in several publications as a top Atlanta wealth manager as well one of America's top financial planners.
More importantly, what people knew about Casey as a person was his deep love and passion for his family and friends, community and country. Casey was a true patriot and an incredible dad, and was active in his sons' lives - volunteering in the Boy Scouts of America, Walton Football Touchdown Club, Princeton Football Association, Lacrosse and basketball sideline score keeper and whatever else they needed. He lived for his family and helped build memories for his family that will last a lifetime - trips to Alaska, the Tetons, Yellowstone, Hawaii, white water rafting and zip lining, tropical vacations and ski trips. Angel spent a lot of time trying to keep up with the boys. He and his wife, Angel, loved to travel, and made trips to Eastern Europe, Italy, and all throughout the Caribbean islands and the United States. He and his sons, Christian and Liam, helped convert Angel to be a big fan of adventure, football, basketball and Lacrosse and they made countless trips as a family to lacrosse tournaments across the country and football games in Princeton.
Casey, a lifelong learner, an experienced motorcyclist and a grill aficionado, was larger than life. On any given weekend, he would throw on a Hawaiian shirt and apron, host friends for barbecues and introduce them to good whiskey. He was known for his generosity and genuine interest in peoples' lives, making friends everywhere he went and making people feel important to him. He could be tough and direct but he was always honest. He was a deeply spiritual man without being religious, he was a man of great curiosity and he was a driving force in so many people's lives. It only took meeting him one time to remember him for a lifetime. He will be missed.
Casey, "May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand."(Irish blessing)

Partnering With You to Address Your Entire Financial Picture
As a business owner or an individual of high-net-worth, you’ve worked hard to earn your wealth. As such, you may have found that managing your wealth has become a burden you’d like to delegate. We’re dedicated to providing active management and advice on how to address your wealth and invest with confidence.
Through wealth management and fiduciary consulting, we’re dedicated to providing services that address your needs first. Our team works in your best interest and is focused on developing solutions that benefit both you and your loved ones.
We serve individuals and businesses in all areas of wealth management, including:
To identify and reach your financial goals you need a plan, not simply an investment portfolio. We’ll look at your assets, liabilities, cash flows, insurance, taxes and more. Then, we will develop and stress test a plan that works for you.
We work with you to develop and implement your goals for the protection, distribution and management of your assets during life and after death, including multi-generational wealth transfer and charitable desires, all in the most tax-efficient manner. This includes plans for collectibles and hard assets you may not want your family to deal with.
You’ve saved enough for 15 to 30 years of retirement but you need a plan to maximize and protect those assets for as long as possible while providing you the income you need to maintain your standard of living. You’ve got this far, don’t go it alone now, enjoy life instead.
As a business owner, your time is better spent running your business and planning for the future. We have experience and can help business owners with planning and implementing mergers and acquisitions, valuations and exit strategies, buy-sell agreements, succession planning and qualified retirement plans.
You earned a compensation package that rewards you with many benefits. How do you optimize your stock options, concentrated stock positions, HSA, deferred compensation and net unrealized appreciation? We can help.
Based on your current circumstances and your goals, we will design a portfolio that matches your tolerance for risk and desire for growth or income. We will also recommend appropriate alternative investments to diversify away from traditional stock and bond portfolios.
What It’s Like Working With BlueChip Wealth Advisors
As a unique individual, your financial plan should address your unique situation. We listen to you and strive to understand your concerns and relate to your experiences. We’re dedicated to the success of you and your family and strive to increase your return on life not just instead of only those of your investments.
The first meeting is where we get to know each other. We’ll discuss your goals and expectations, our firm and our capabilities. We want to make sure we’re a good match for each other and discuss what services may be appropriate for you.
This is an in-depth meeting where we gather the details of your financial picture to begin assembling the package of financial services we discussed in the initial meeting. We’ll discuss your goals on a deeper level, learn about your family, risk tolerance, wants and needs.
Next, we evaluate your financial information and create a strategy to best aid you in achieving your goals. This could be as simple as an updated investment proposal or as complex as a comprehensive financial plan addressing cash flow, insurance, taxes, estate, retirement and investments.
Once the financial analysis and plan are complete, you and your financial advisor will meet to discuss and agree on an implementation plan and timeline.
As a client of BlueChip, we’ll work with you to implement and monitor your plan and investment portfolio. We make recommendations for adjusting your wealth management plan should your situation change, ensuring that it continually supports your goals and lifestyle.
